Happy Wednesday all!

Today I start a new drawing. I need to put everything I have into this one.

Winter is returning for a day or so it appears. Highs tomorrows in the 40s and low is supposed to be 13. Told my kid I guess he needs to be wearing his pants for soccer practice tomorrow.

What's going on in your world?

Good morning Chanda -- and anyone else reading this. Today I'm going to work on the picture I started the background on the other day. Not the mountain one the goat one. The goat in the picture is our Male stud goat (actually belongs to my son). He named him William (get it? Billy Goat).

Weather here (Arkansas) is not great be definitely not as cold as where you are Chanda. We have highs in the 60's. What state are you in Chanda?

London is roasting (for the time of year) 79 Fahrenheit or 26 Celsius.
My back is feeling much better today, I started doing some physiotherapy a couple of days ago, and it seems to be working a treat, still sore but movement is much better. Such a relief, was getting quite down about it.

Actually getting quite psyched about my drawing again, after I finish my current piece though, I am seriously considering having a go at painting. Never painted before, but watching your progress Terry has really inspired me.
I will show my work here first, get some help, tips & advice.
Not sure how well I will adapt to painting, but hey, maybe I have an untapped talent. ;)

I look forward to seeing your progress Terry!

I live in northwest New Mexico. We can get a little chilly here. I am so bummed because my lilacs were just thinking about blooming but with the hard freeze we are expected to get I don't see it happening. I have only seen them bloom a handful of times in over 15 years. :-( They always get bit

That is quite warm! Those are June temperatures here. I hope your back gets better soon. I have enjoyed the art you have been posting and think you would do quite well at painting! You seem dedicated enough to really take off and do well with it.

I've been doing some work on William the Goat, but I have to stop for now so I thought I'd might show you what I've done so far. The bush is no where near done so please don't even look at it. All that I have finished is the horns and the tip of the nose. I would be happy to get some feedback on those. They are still wet and would be easy enough to change at this point.

Terry! It's wonderful!!! It's hard to critique without seeing the original picture but I will say that the horns look BEAUTIFULLY done and the nose is also well done though one nostril is crinkled and one isn't..goats are funky creatures though and I am well aware that could seriously be the way it is.

I am so anxious to see the outcome of this. I think it's great so far.

Don't know much about goats, but looks pretty spot on to me.
Great start. :)

I tried earlier to upload the picture I was using of William but it would not load and I had to stop trying because I had to go pick up my granddaughter. So now I will try again. You can see that in the picture his nose is kind of closed a bit on the left side, but I think I'm going to change it in the painting to be symmetrical. I like the horns but I wish I added a little touch color. They are too grey, they should have just a twinge of tan. I will put a light tan wash on them after they dry.

Well I had to change the file type of the picture and downsize it. So here it is, this is my model picture.
