Good morning!

How is everybody today? How are you coming along on your artistic projects?

Today I hope to work a little more in depth on the areas of my drawing I have already started..add in some darker values and work on that mane. It's a dark mane with silver streaks so it adds a little challenge.

Other than that I had a list of things to do and I forgot most of what was on it..lol..so..I hope none of it was important. I am pretty good about making lists but didn't today and that's what happens. :p

Morning Chanda and everyone else that reads this. I have two projects in development right now. First portrait of Jackson and third attempt at Jayna. I'm begining to get tired of doing portraits. I think after these two I'll take a break and do some landscapes or seascapes or flowers or animals. Variety is the spice of life. My goal is to get two portraits of each of my grandkids that look like them at least enough to recognize who the portrait is of. One to give their Mom and one for me. Right now I have only one of three of my grandchildren worth saving and none of three other grandchildren, so I'll be painting more portraits again but after a little break.

I think that's a really wise idea Terry....and it makes you a more well rounded artist. The great thing about doing something else (such as flowers or landscapes) as they aren't as nitpicky as portraits. They don't have to be spot on in every detail. If you mess up, oh well..who is gonna know or care besides you? I absolutely love drawing horses but do other things..partially because people ask me to but also because if the only thing I drew was horses I would get bored with it.
