Polymer Clay vs Fimo Clay

Is one better than the other? What's the difference?

FIMO is a brand name for a polymer clay.

According to this article on wikipedia FIMO is an acronym for Fifi's modeling compound. FIfi's MOdeling

Oh wow, I feel silly now. I've tried fimo but it felt different than polymer clay to me.

I think Fimo probably has a different formula than the other brand you tried.

Most likely. I usually use Sculpey clay.
