Smile Dog Sculpting Journal

Hi,
Because I've been sculpting a lot of dogs lately I decided to make an ongoing thread for them so I don't have to keep posting new ones.
Here are some pictures of the dogs I did recently.>
A Norwich terrier named Wilkie. 3''

"Herbert" The Rough Collie.
He's going to be a trophy for a Collie show in Connecticut. About 5 1/2''

A black and tan coon hound named Hamilton. 2 1/2''

Here are two Collies that I made for my grandmother's birthday.
They're of her two dogs Bonnie and Gavin.
First some pictures before they were glued to a Burdick chocolate box.
Bonnie>

Gavin>

both are less than 2'' as sculptures and about 3 1/2 on the box.

These are wonderful pieces...love to be able to sculpt but it's not in me. I really would like to have one of your sculptures. The Great Dane is my breed of dog and would like to know more about how to go about commissioning some of your sculptures. PM with details if you have time or interested.

You've got some serious talent. The fur texture looks awesome - it must require incredible patience.

The dog may be wonderful prose, but only the cat is poetry.

Great work. At those sizes, they are more figurines than sculptures.

This is "Eleanor", a recent sculpture of a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.
3 1/2'' long and 1 1/2'' tall. Made in sculpy.
