Question Newbie question re: black ink and paper

Hi, Sorry if this is a silly question but I am a complete newbie and would be grateful for some advice. I want to draw some minimalist pictures using black ink on white paper. I have done some quick preliminary work using a black sharpie on cartidge paper, but I am thinking that ink would be better as I want the black to be as strong, crisp and uniform as possible. I am embarrassed to show any of my work because, as I said, I am a complete newbie, but I am attaching some examples to give some idea of what I am talking about. Can anyone give me some advice as to what ink and paper would be most suitable to really make my pictures 'pop'(!)? Many thanks, and apologies again if this is a silly question!
