dip pens

Does anyone else still use dip pens? I really enjoy them but was wondering if anyone else does.

I still have mine, but they're getting dust on them. When I learned about Pigma Microns, I never looked back. I have found that I prefer ek tools [pens, though, the tips wear longer.

Hi,

I am busy using dip pens at the moment. I am doing the Inktober challenge (one ink drawing a day for the whole of October) and I have personally modified the challenge to be using just dip pens and washes too. I have seen so many great artists use dip pens and the like and I wanted to learn. Being on the 23rd day I really have learned a lot but sadly I am still not great with them. My lines are still quite shaky compared to my micron pen lines. I have to keep willing myself to stick to the challenge and not fall back on my micron pens.
I also get annoyed at having to work from corner to corner or waiting a lot for the ink to dry so that I do not smudge my lines.

Sorry if I answered that question in too much detail. :P
