Did you make any resolutions for 2016?

Did any of you make resolutions for 2016?

Normally I am not a big fan of resolutions but this year I have a few.

One is making sure I find some balance between work and life outside of work. Because I actually love my work, I tend to forget to make sure to keep my life balanced with other things as well.

Also, I am back on track for making sure I get 10,000 steps every day to help make up for the fact that I spend far too many hours sitting at a computer every day.

My resolution is very general, become a better painter. Also to stay the weight I am now. I lost 40 lbs in 2015 -- now to keep it off!

I don't do resolutions. I do goals. This year my goal is to be able to see some big changes with regards to work...I want more peace in my life!

I'm going to try to get in more steps this year as well. Take the dog out more often. He loves running on the beach and I enjoy the view.

I kept to Low Carbs and used MyFitnessPal.com to keep track of my calories and carbs. I limited myself to 1200 calories and those calories were to consist of no more than 150 grams carbs and 40 grams fats and 45 grams sugar and as much protein as I want. I did it because I was having trouble keeping my blood glucose level down and since I'm diabetic I had to get more serious about my diet. I stopped counting sometime in November but so far the weight is staying off. It also helped that the doctor changed my diabetic medicine. The one I was taking causes weight gain. I now take insulin shots.

Wow you are lucky you didn't need insulin shots so far @TerryCurley.My husband takes shots for about 20 years but he didn't care about his diet(or checking his bloodsugar, taking medications etc etc) at all, until last year he ended up in the ER with blood sugar over 600(don't want to say that "I told him sooooo"!!!)and after that his doctor said he HAS to keep a diet, especially that his kidneys are also affected now..He lost over 50 pounds with a diet consisting in 90% protein.
