TerryCurley Good for you for spending all possible time with your Mom. When my Mom became terminally ill my sisters and I took turns round the clock to be with her. I lived about a hundred miles from her and had to take two months off from work and they threatened to let me go. I said fine, I can get another job but this is the my only Mom. That was in 1987 and I still miss her terribly. Mom's are truly special.

Susan Mulno Great that you are enjoying your mom while you can, mom's are irreplaceable, I lost mine when I was still in my 20s. I don't think you ever get totally used to them being gone.

Courtney Happy weekend! It's been a rough week on my end. I'm filling a lot of roles at work while we have some vacancies. Makes for a long week. My weekend plans were to go see my mom but my back problem has cancelled that. I'm trying to be in New Orleans on weekends that I don't have gigs. My mom has clips in her brain from an aneurysm 10 years ago. In February, after a night of severe brain issues like trying to find the phone number for heaven and answering to a name we'd never heard, we found out that the area around the clip has softened and is no longer working. It's almost like dementia but is a result of constant seizures where her brain is attacking the softened area. It took FOREVER to get to the bottom of the problem. So I'm trying to be with her every weekend that I can because it's only downhill from here. She's 65 so this is exceptionally sad. Interesting fact though...she loves to draw now and will spend up to 5 hours coloring. She puts my drawings next to hers and tries to copy them. That aspect has been very interesting. She cannot grasp that paper is white so not having a white marker is no big deal because you work with the white of the paper. I gave up and got her a white-out pen. The first thing she does on every picture is all of the white. It's fascinating.

My next purchase, maybe this weekend, will be a set of gray prismacolor markers. Since I have to take it easy and my little one will be on a canoe trip, the time may be just right.

Hi all. Sorry I haven't been on. Been having computer issues.

Hope you are all doing good. Any new artwork to share? I need to work on mine at some point. I want to get it to a "sharing" point.

Hope Terry has been having fun.

David I saw you posted yesterday. Thanks for doing that! I just saw it this morning or I would have responded.
