gwd Hello,

Why don't you sculpt a master of the head in positive, make a mold, (which becomes your negative) and then pour your plaster into the mold?

I don't know how many copies you want but it is far easier to carve positively than carving a negative ;o)

sculpting help needed

I'm new to sculpting but i wanted to know how to create a negative, i think its called ; of a face with the mouth open so that i can use the shell negative and pour plaster in to it to make a head sculpture.

I think that's how you do it. Basically i just want to make a head sculpture with the mouth open. if there is another way of doing this please let me know. I would like to just make a copy of a head with the mouth open.

Also would it be easier to do this with plaster or clay?
