Rrr I see what you mean. For me personally I just want to be able to draw someone as fast as possible while still being accurate enough to get a good likeness. Its not that I dont have the patience to go over the entire process of drawing slowly but I firmly believe in the power of repetition, in essence to improve hand-eye co÷rdination but also to train the short-term memory as fast as possible.

dickhutchings I like the scribble approach. I've found it to be the only way to draw with my shaky hands. Scribble away.

Self-Portrait scribble in 70 minutes

No clean lines here, and with the glasses somewhat to high up on the nose, but with a good likeness.

Hb pencil on A3 80gr copier paper
