Susan Mulno No worries Dick. I am not that sensitive. I like your apple!

dickhutchings Sorry Susan. Seems like my apple took the focus away from your thread a little. I'll have to be more careful in the future.

daisyfree hi , i see your drawn apple is good i think that in nature you have not so perfect color of yellow and red little more shading of little will be better just think if u add a little (you are using premier color ) blue for shading will be more shown a depth and for shadow of object (im sorry if im so tutorials) i think u need to see from where light(sun ) is going and to do its shading

I was in actuality commenting on your Sandhill Cranes, Susan; awesome work! But, now that you directed my attention to the drawing of the Apple in the comment section, it is really good too! I love this forum. It's very inspiring to see the work of such talented people.

dickhutchings I agree with most of that Terry. Right up until it comes time to actually do the work. Funny thing is, I'm pretty sure I copied this from the internet. Just shows to go ya. Maybe I should try a small oil painting with your tips.

Susan Mulno Not worried about a "hijack" @TerryCurley am guilty of such myself.

TerryCurley Hey @dickhutchings I hope you don't mind that I make a suggestion on your sketch. I think you should move the shadow from the left front area to the right back area because you have a highlight in the front of the apple slightly to the left. Also I think it would enhance the sketch to add more contrast -- even darker on the left side blending to the light front. It would make it more 3 dimensional.

Hope I didn't over step my bounds, sorry about hijacking the thread Susan.
