leighann Well, for the adventurous gardener, should be loads of fun. Me? I'm too lazy for all that.

I do have 5 flowerbeds here at the new house that I will have to tend to, and so far all I have done is buy some Elephant Ears. I may be in over my head. Lol

TerryCurley It's going to be beautiful with the glass imbedded in it.

Sorin Depends on thickness but I leave them in the sun several days before handling and a week before painting. I prime with a "green crete" primer. With the foam hotwire cutters I made there'll be some interesting pots this year! Gonna hit some yard sales for pottery & glass to break up for imbedding.

Light crete

Called "trueful-sumthin-or-other", essentially 1/3 peat moss, 1/3 vermiculite & 1/3 Portland cement. Strength like concrete at 1/3 the weight. Been making pots from it while experimenting & these pieces are the first effort at different. They'll be attached to a tree stump to make a "gnome home". Door, 2 windows, conical roof & steps. Y'all might wanna try it.
