Cool Young YouTube Artist introduces herself!

Hello!

I'm Rockmusicjunkie, 18 years old and a self taught artist from Austria!
Since I'm kinda young I don't have much experience or special educations so you could say I'm a self-taught artist.

I started drawing portraits in May 2014 because I got bored and I liked it so I kept drawing more and more. One day I grabbed my phone camera and started filming myself while drawing Vom Ritchie, my favorite Drummer, *I play drums* and uploaded it as a Speed-Painting to my YouTube Channel just for fun . I received many positive reactions and this video even reached Vom and he messaged me

This inspired me to do more drawings and upload them on my Channel.
Since I'm a big fan of (Pagan-Metal and Punk/Rock) music, the persons I usually draw are musicians but I also like to draw Disney and Dreamworks Characters or Requested Persons from Movies, YouTube,...

It would be cool if you guys could give me some constructive critique and advice on how to improve my drawings and make them looking more realistic. My goal is to make realistic art or stuff like this: CLICK *does anyone know how that art style is called? It's kinda dark...fantasy stuff*

My equipment:
I use a normal (cheap) "Cretacolor Studio Line Pencil Set" and now also the "Cretacolor Monolith Box". For black or dark lines I use a "Cretacolor AquaMonolith in ivory black"
I recently also bought myself some good colored pencils: Faber-Castell Polychromos 120

That's all about myself! If you're interested in my work check out my
- DeviantArt Page (here you will find ALL drawings I ever drew)

- Instagram (also featuring ALL my drawings and more Info)

- YouTube (click here to see all of my Speed-Drawings )

PS: I'd really love to get some feedback and critique on my work so I can get better

Impressive work! I'd love to see some videos wherein you teach to compliment your speed drawings.

Thanks for sharing your talent.

What did you mean by that, and thank you for the compliment

If you don't know what he meant by that, what makes you think it was a compliment?

His last sentence is a compliment because he seems to like my art...

Yes I would say the words "Impressive Art" Definitely constitutes a compliment. And BTW it is impressive and I loved the video.

I believe what he meant is that he would like to see you teaching the viewer as you draw....and yes..he did compliment you as well. :-)

You do wonderful work. Welcome to the forum.
