Smile the wolf is here

Hello fellow artists, my name is Vedad and I tend to do my best to express my emotions on the paper. I am self taught and I tend to learn new tricks every day.
It's very nice to have forum related to the art.
I think there should be a mixed-media subforum/s too.

Welcome. I'm not sure if you are bragging or making excuses when you say that you're self taught. Every artist is. You should create an album on your profile page and upload your work in it.

Thank you very much.
I am doing both, but in first place i say "don't expect me to know techniques and everything as one educated artist should".
I will do.

Good Morning fellow artist. I say that tongue in cheek because though I love to paint pictures I'm far from being what I would consider an artist. I've looked at some of the work posted on this site and there are many many true artists here. I started painting only last Spring, just to give it a try. I went to one of those one day classes and it was so much fun. Being retired (I'm a 66 year old grandma) I have the time now to indulge in a hobby so I bought a bunch of supplies and have been watching online videos and trying to learn different techniques.

Up until recently I've only used acrylic. But I just invested in some oil paints and have three oil paintings in different states of development. Does oil ever dry!

I hoping to find people or at least a person that I can relate to and compare experiences with painting. I'm also very much hopping to be able to ask questions of those that are experienced.

I'm going to try to post some of my pictures in my album after this intro. Thank you DleeG for guiding me in the right direction on how to do that.
