Should oil be oil painting be cleaned?

Should I have this oil painting cleaned, have great respect for art but not, the pocket book to save what I run across. Any help with artist, country and age. Large canvas aprox. 32x45. Thanks

I can't help you but I love this painting. You're luck to have it .

Wowza! I love it, but then, I'm a sucker for a snow scene.

I have to agree with Dick. Its a fantastic painting. However you should ask yourself if you want it to be restored necessarily. I would say yes if you have a personal affinity with it or when the painting itself holds enough value (to make up for the cost of cleaning). Cleaning such a painting usually means removing the old (protective) layer of varnish and applying a new layer of varnish. If you are unsure about cleaning it anyway you could have the painting valued by an artdealer, which is possibly the most sensible route.
