Nice work.
Be sure to tell more about how you do the work for those of us that have never worked with clay. I've often thought about working in clay but don't know anything about it. I sculpt in wood.

Many thanks for the comment..this one is just about ready to mold as i will be casting this in bronze finish with a wood plinth.

I have sculpted my own ridgeback dog here from monster clay using just reference photos and anatomy reference too.

I find oil based clay great to sculpt in as any mistakes can be easily rectified and monster clay can go from very soft like water based clay to hard enough to carve.

Many products work better oil based. I do a lot of finishing work and water based glazes dry a lot faster than oil. You have to work smaller areas at a time and work really fast where oil based you can take your time and do a good job.

Mistakes is another reason I would like to try clay sculpture. When sculpting in wood you take off too much and it's a major pain to fix.
