Help Working with Polyester Resin - Mold Ideas

I am looking to create a pillar out of resin, maybe knee height, with a sculpture embedded in the center. I know I need to do it in multiple layers and thats about it.

I am using polyester resin because I have seen it is better for larger casts and it is also cheaper.

I need help figuring out what to use as a mold? Either square or round, something I can pour the resin into that would come off easily?

Thank you everyone!
