Great White Shark

Here is my drawing of fish swimming with a great white shark:

I had to sharpen my blue colored pencil 5 times to get all the blue background. I based the shark off of this image:

My mom and dad both think I did a good job on the shark. What do you think?

Yes you did a good job. I like the school of fish too

Colored pencils have such small tips it does take a lot of time and a lot of work to cover an entire page, no doubt about that.

If I may offer a critique, take a look at the reference picture of the shark and see how the body narrows considerably just prior to the tail fanning out? That is one characteristic of what makes a shark look like a shark. Another is how long and pointy their faces are.

Again, good job, keep drawing!

I'm so glad to see you back Caters, it's been awhile. You are doing great on your drawing. I really like your drawing of the fish and the shark. I can definitely tell it's a great white shark.

Thanks. I showed it to my grandma who has seen my other drawings and she says that she sees some improvement.
