Unfinished Pieces

I am sure I am not the only person who has a couple of art pieces that are not finished, why do you think this happens and do you ever go back to them to complete them?
Personally, there are days when I am painting I feel my piece is not coming together and so I take a break from it, often frustrated I do not go back to it.

Can anyone else relate?

I am that way with many projects I work on.

I have been working on a photography series, and right in the middle of the project, I either lost sight of where I was going with it or lost interest.

It may be time for me to go back and take another look at it.

I think my problem is I get caught up on being everyday busy and I lose track of the goal and passion I had to finish the piece. In turn not going back to it, the good news is my goal of the year is to finish at least 2 painting I have not completed.

I do not have unfinished works per se, I do however have pieces I want to go back and change, don't know if that counts or not?

My new goal is to always have a graphite piece and a color piece in the works at all times, when I am in a stall pattern on one I can go work on the other for a bit to clear the fog.

Grateful to Jesus for everything!

I think that's interesting because one can be their hardest critic. I can see myself go back and change my piece to perfect it more. However when do you stop? I love the goal you speak off, my goal this summer is to start sketching again
