Line control practice

I've been trying to get a handle on line control for a while now. I've done drawing exercises such as drawing ellipses and point-to-point lines, but doing line work on actual subjects has been a challenge. I get more precise when I draw slowly but my lines are wobbly, and I get cleaner lines when I make quick strokes but can't get very precise. Is this just something that will get better as I practice or are their specific techniques I have to do?

Keep on persisting with it!

Practice makes perfect (and no amount of tricks or techniques will make up for a lack of persistent practice). I have Dyspraxia (which makes my coordination much worse than the average persons) but through sheer grit and determination at persistently practicing drawing over the years has no meant that I now have much higher than average abilities.

There are 34 muscles controlling the fingers and thumb on each hand and as you practice, your muscles memory and coordination will gradually improve (irregardless of your age).
