Even a sustainable smallholding, one needs to create art to sell...
Hi, I used to get that block, as I'm just too honest, and money just didn't justify the beauty spilling from my soul. Since moving to another country, to the middle of nowhere, growing my own food raising my own goats, making cheese and raising my two kids home-educating them, with my husband, we have found that, the sustainable life is great, fun, hard work, ethical, inspiring and the rest...it is vital that some things need money, books, materials, goat medication, tools, etc... I've found that i have had to create art, quick and with a respectable price, the small paintings, sell cheap, more chance to sell, I've found that painting the old ways historical pictures sell well as a project for tourism and local shows. I still don't sell enough though, but i have hope and I'm not one to give up... i don't see many folks on a daily basis, i don't social media chat, so i have narrowed my chances incredibly, but i believe in magic... Nice to be here and meet fellow artists... blessings
