Default multiple copies of guidelines

Hi. I am looking for a method for making multiple copies of guidelines so I don't have to repeat the process. For example, if I use a compass and ruler and make a template with perfectly measured lines with a graphite pencil, is there a way I can transfer this onto a bunch of different sheets of paper and then erase it once i've drawn my design around it? All I can think of is carbon paper underneath when I draw my first lot of guidelines, but this only makes one copy....does this erase like a greylead would? Thanks
