| Good day everybody. Seeing as this is my first post, my intentions are not to come off as spammy, that is definitely not my goal but rather, getting the information across to the right people. I am proud announce that we have just launched our campaign to crowdsource the world’s largest painting on the sublimely remote & historically significant island of Runit in the Enewetak Atoll. The impact of this piece, which was inspired by first hand accounts of post-quake Tokyo life, becomes apparent when considering the infamy of our canvas, the Cactus Dome, which the Marshallese government has given us special permission to paint. In Lieu of corporate sponsorship & the hiring of famous designers we have opted for a more DIY/grassroots approach and are both financing the project & soliciting artist submissions via Kickstarter (a crowd-financing platform). We are presenting an opportunity for artists to submit the design that will be voted on by the public and used on top of the dome itself and once completed, visible from Google Earth. Opportunities to be apart of the documentary team as either our onsite photographer, videographer, writer or innovator are also available and the chosen person will be voted on by the public after submitting an piece of their work just like the designer. I would love to answer any questions that you might have. For full details on how you can get involved feel free to check out our home page http://www.bikinilines.net/ http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/...s-largest-pain Take care everybody Last edited by Chad; 12-31-2011 at 12:00 PM. |

| I have been trying to upload a pic of the cactus dome so you can get an better understanding of what it is that we are asking artists to design, but for some reason the pic won't upload so here is a link with our first interview done with Japans largest English language news outlet. You can find a nice picture of your canvas towards the bottom. http://metropolis.co.jp/features/fea...ith-the-crowd/ Last edited by Chad; 12-31-2011 at 04:00 PM. |
