Default Does any other artist on here do "Stippling" Art?

I've been looking around this site and have seen sooo many great artist with varying styles. I love doing "Stipplings" (drawing with all dots) but I noticed I may be the only one who does it. I certainly hope not, would love to see other artist who have done this style of art.

I did years ago in college. I think my first project was a little bit over my head at the time and it turned ne away from doing it again. I LOVE the end result but for me I find I don't have the patience..I admire those that do.

Lol, I hear that a lot Chanda. It can be very tedious but the trick is repetition. The more stipplings u do, the easier they become to do. You'll get to the point where you are just as fast with dots as you are with lines. Also, it made my regular sketches better because my eye for depth and value increased. So its a slow starting method but rewarding at the end.

I want to start stippling. I've never really tried it. I've only seen it done on landscapes in a book I have. What subject matter do you suggest I focus on?

Hey Victoria! I say go for it! I love to do stipplings. Your subject matter should be what you are already comfortable with drawing. Because it basically the same as regular drawing except you replace dots for lines and also use them to create value. Its tideous but very fun and very rewarding when completed.

I like to draw faces but I don't know if I could do it with stippling...I think I'll try some flowers.
